A HEAT SHIELD is required to separate all laminate products from heat producing units to be in compliance with cabinet warranty.
Heat shields are used to deflect heat from self-cleaning ovens away from cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Heat shields are recommended for use when an additional 1/8" cannot be added to the oven manufacturer's recommended space requirement.
Heat Shields are 1/16" thick, and are available in pairs of stainless steel or with a white powder coated finish.
